Godalming County Grammar School - The School on the Hill An Appreciation of Godalming County Grammar School from its Foundation in 1930 to the Present Day The book starts with a piece by comedian and writer Ben Elton, who was a pupil at the school, and continues with a chapter about life in Godalming in the 1960s by Louis de Bernières, author of best seller Captain Corelli’s Mandolin amongst others. The initial 500 copies of the book will be published in the summer of 2023 and will be in full colour, soft-bound and printed on high-quality paper. It is 250 pages of text, images and photos to complement the website of https://www.theoga.org The book is expected to be available for purchase from Summer 2023. Copies will also be available at the next school reunion on 14^th October 2023. We are seeking pre-sales agreements to contribute to the printing costs for this full-colour, 200+ page book. The book will sell for £20 per copy with the aim of breaking even rather than being profit-making. Postage and packing will be extra and we will inform you of the amount later on.
