It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Bookham has to tell everyone that Peggy Bookham passed away peacefully last night at the age of 91.

She was a wife, mum, granny and great-granny. She was also a teacher, an amazing needle woman, a Duke of Edinburgh Award co-ordinator plus she was involved with the Royal British Legion Women’s section, the church and the Cub Scouts. Sorting through her papers and photos the family discovered so much more about her amazing 91 years. How she found time to feed her husband and children with home-cooked meals daily plus keep them clean and tidy the family is not sure, other than to realise she must have been superwoman.

She deserves to be at peace and reunited with her husband.
