Valerie Bland (Sheppard) School Years 1947 – 1952 Died Sunday 4th May
Valerie died of cancer early on Sunday 4th May. She been diagnosed in February and was given some hope of a cure, but then went downhill quite quickly and an in-depth scan showed very advanced and terminal cancer.
Her funeral will be at Chichester Crematorium on Monday May 19th at 1.15pm and any donations for St Wilfred’s Hospice in her memory should be sent to Reynolds Funeral Directors, High Street, Bognor Regis, PO21 1RR
Valerie married David Bland in 1956 and had 3 sons, a daughter and 4 grandchildren. They lived in Chichester where they ran a smallholding and Bed and Breakfast business. Valerie was a regular at OGA Reunions and ’47ers Reunions and will be greatly missed.
