Time spent at school: 1961 - 1968

Born on 7/10/1949 and attended Godalming County Grammar School from 1961 till 1968. She went on to read English at the University of Leeds and then became an English teacher in the south Yorkshire/north Nottinghamshire area, teaching there for many years. She lived there, happily, with her husband and their son and daughter, the latter of whom also read English at the University of Leeds.
At GCGS, Linda excelled at sports, did well academically and made many friends. She recalled her days there with warmth and affection and fondly remembered Latin lessons with Mr Johnson (known as “Julius” in those days).
