Peter and Marion Beck sent this note:-

Geoffrey was a good friend of mine in the final years of Godalming Grammar.

Those who were in the small classes of Upper 4th and Upper 5th(created especially for us younger folk too young to sit examinations ) will remember him. On leaving school he told me that he was  “going to a Path. laboratory to study blood”.

When I caught up with him in the last few years I found that he had spent his whole working life in that field, travelling to attend conferences etc.in foreign lands.We re established contact some 11 years ago. He attended the 2000 reunion after calling in here whilst camping in the Forest in the summer of that year.Marion and I saw Rosemary and Geoff last year in Huntingdon and the ‘cup of coffee’ extended to several hours of hospitality although there were serious health problems within the family.Our thoughts are with Rosemary and the boys at this sad time.
