Brian and I were good friends during our time at Godalming Grammar, and often visited each other’s homes.   As I recall, he came to us from Portsmouth Grammar when his family moved to Godalming.  Brian was a talented cricketer and was the school’s fast bowler (very).  We lost touch after leaving school but I was so happy to see him again at the ’47 reunion in ’97.  School friendships are never forgotten
